FROM PROTOTYPE TO SMALL SERIES
FROM THE SMALL SERIES TO THE SERIES
For prototype development and small series production, we additionally cooperate with specialized companies or workshops that have the know-how and equipment to implement such projects. Here are some steps that are commonly followed in prototyping and small batch production:
- Requirements analysis: We first clarify the requirements and specifications for the prototype or small series. Define the desired functions, design, material, size and other relevant factors.
- Concept development: We create initial sketches, drawings or digital models to visualize ideas, refine the design and create technical drawings or 3D models if necessary.
- Material selection: We first select the materials to be used for the prototype or small series. Consider factors such as strength, durability, cost and availability.
- Prototyping: We create the first prototype of the product. This can be done through 3D printing, CNC machining, mold making or other appropriate manufacturing techniques, check the prototypes for functionality, fit and aesthetics.
- Testing and iteration: We thoroughly test the prototypes to make sure it meets the requirements. Identify potential improvements or changes and make appropriate adjustments. This step may require several iterations to achieve the desired result.
- Small batch production: As soon as the prototype is approved, we can start the small batch production. Depending on the product and the number of pieces, different manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal forming or other processes can be used.
- Quality control: We monitor the manufacturing process and perform regular quality checks to ensure that the parts or products produced meet the required standards.
- Assembly and finishing: If necessary, we perform assembly work and finish the products with surface treatments such as painting, polishing or coating.
- Packaging and shipping: We prepare the products for shipment by choosing suitable packaging and organizing shipping logistics.
