More and more frequently, plastic body parts are being used in the automotive sector. As in this project, plastic parts are used as side panels to protect the vehicle from minor impacts, but also to protect other road users and minimize the risk of injury.
Process
Plastic injection moulding, and other special processes, allow an almost free choice of shapes, surfaces and colours. Together with economic efficiency, this makes injection moulding the most widely used process for the mass production of plastic parts in practically all areas.
